IRIA Barak Valley Chapter Formed To Strengthen Radiology Network In The Region

In a landmark development for the medical fraternity of the Barak Valley, all practising radiologists from across the region convened on Sunday, October 12, 2025, to form the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) Barak Valley Chapter. The initiative marks a major step towards strengthening professional collaboration, enhancing diagnostic standards, and improving patient care in the region.

The newly constituted body aims to promote knowledge exchange among radiologists, organise continuous medical education (CME) programmes, and advocate for the highest standards in imaging and diagnostic practices.

The executive committee of the IRIA Barak Valley Chapter has been announced as follows:

Speaking on the occasion, members of the newly formed chapter said that the initiative would serve as a unifying platform for radiologists of the Barak Valley to work collectively towards better healthcare and improved diagnostic facilities.

The chapter has resolved to take active steps in research, professional development, and public awareness regarding the role of radiology in preventive and precision medicine, aiming for “Better Healthcare and Patient Care” across the region.
