Free Health Camp to Be Held in Malugram on Sunday Amid Water-Related Health Concerns
A free health camp will be organised in Malugram on Sunday (31 May) following growing health concerns among residents due to the supply of contaminated and poor-quality drinking water in the area.
The camp will be held at the Durgabari Trust premises in Arjyapatti under Ward No. 9 of Malugram from 10:30 am. It is being jointly organised by Joy Radhe Seva Samiti and Durgabari Trust, Arjyapatti.
According to the organisers, free medical consultations and medicines will be provided to patients attending the camp. They have also approached the Health Department seeking the presence of a physician and a paediatric specialist to attend to patients.
President of Joy Radhe Seva Samiti, Jaydeep Chakraborty, said the organisation has successfully conducted several health camps in different parts of Silchar and at two orphanages with the support of the Health Department, particularly during the post-Covid period and flood situations.
He added that volunteers of the organisation will manage token distribution, maintain patient queues and ensure proper discipline throughout the camp to facilitate smooth treatment services.
The organisers have appealed to all residents of the area to attend the camp and make use of the free medical consultation and medicine distribution facilities.
