Teenager Arrested for Abduction of 14-Year-Old Girl in Cachar’s Borkhola

A young man has been arrested for allegedly abducting a 14-year-old girl from Chandranathpur in Assam’s Cachar district. The accused, identified as Prakash Pachi, was produced before a Silchar court on Saturday (July 25) after being arrested by Borkhola Police Station.

According to the complaint, the incident took place at around 11 pm on Wednesday (July 22) when the accused allegedly took the minor girl from her home to his own residence.

Following the incident, the girl’s family lodged a written complaint at Borkhola Police Station. Acting on the complaint, police launched an operation, rescued the minor and arrested the accused.

Police later produced Prakash Pachi before the Silchar court for further legal proceedings. The investigation into the case is continuing.

The alleged abduction of the minor has sparked concern among local residents and created a sense of unrest in the Chandranathpur area. Police have not disclosed any further details regarding the case.
