Assam Police Activates Helplines for People Stranded in Meghalaya

The Assam Government, through Assam Police, has activated two helpline numbers to assist people from Assam who may be stranded in Meghalaya or facing difficulties while travelling in the state amid the prevailing situation.

Family members, relatives and members of the public can use the helplines to share information about people or vehicles that may be stranded in Meghalaya. They have been asked to provide details such as the person’s name, contact number, vehicle registration number, present location and any other relevant information available.

The information received through the helplines will be taken up with the concerned authorities in Meghalaya, including the local administration and police, for coordination and necessary assistance.

The Assam Government and Assam Police said they are maintaining close coordination with authorities in Meghalaya and will extend all possible support to people requiring assistance.
