
Silchar MP Highlights Assam’s Healthcare Concerns in Hyderabad
Silchar MP Parimal Suklabaidya participated in a two-day study tour and meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare in Hyderabad on August 20 and 21, where he raised issues related to healthcare services and infrastructure in Assam and the Silchar Parliamentary constituency.
According to a press release, Suklabaidya discussed the need to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, expand modern medical facilities and improve access to quality healthcare for the public. He also placed before the committee various healthcare-related issues, opportunities and development proposals concerning Assam and the Barak Valley.
The MP said he was the only representative from Assam participating in the committee meeting and used the opportunity to highlight the region’s healthcare concerns.
Suklabaidya said the healthcare sector in the country has seen major development in recent years and stressed the importance of making modern and improved medical services more accessible to ordinary people.
The two-day programme included discussions on several issues related to strengthening the country’s healthcare infrastructure and improving health services.
The MP is also scheduled to participate in another study tour of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare in Mumbai on August 22, according to the press release.
