101 positive in Cachar, 75 in Karimganj, Hailakandi 14; 3 dead in SMCH
According to the medical bulletin of the Silchar Medical College and Hospital, as of June 19, there are 131 active Corona cases in the hospital. 77 patients are in the ICU ward and 54 are in the Covid ward. 14 patients are in ventilation support whereas, 102 patients are in oxygen support.
In the past 24 hours ending at 5:00 pm on June 19, 19 Covid patients were admitted to the Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) and 20 patients were discharged from it. 7 patients have been admitted to the Covid care centre. Also, 3 patients have died in the same period with Covid in the Silchar Medical College & Hospital.
Safiqur Rahman, aged 54, of the Kaliganj area of the Karimganj district, was admitted to the Silchar Medical College & Hospital on June 15 and died on June 19 at 7:45 am with Covid. Rahima Begum Barbhuiya, aged 47, of the Hailakandi district, was admitted to the Silchar Medical College & Hospital on June 18 and died on June 19 at 11:30 am. Sitangshu Nath, aged 49, of the Hailakandi district, was admitted to the Silchar Medical College & Hospital on June 17 and died on June 19 at 2 pm.
In the Cachar district, as per the latest data available, 101 people have tested positive on the RAT kit out of 8,787 tests performed.
In the Karimganj district, on June 19, out of 3,929 swabs collected, 75 have tested positive. The total active cases of the district stand at 1,031.
15 individuals have tested positive in the Hailakandi district, the lowest in the last 30 days. Currently, there are 607 active patients in the district.
