26 new COVID positive cases in Cachar; 9 BSF Jawans, 1 ATSP
The officials in Silchar Medical College and Hospital and district administration informed that 26 news COVID positive cases have been reported in Cachar on July 14.
Out of them, there were many with travel history from various parts of Maharashtra. They are: Arkatipur’s Subhash Rkiason (23), Phulbari Part I’s Pranesh Das (27), Haltia TE’s Siva Tanti (22) and Rabi Tasa (23), Chengduar TE’s Gopesh Tanti (26), Nagdergram Sonai’s Rupam Ahmed Laskar (25).
The inbound residents who traveled from Bangalore and tested positive for COVID 19 after reaching Silchar are, Hatikhal Kanchanpur’s Sarimul Haque Ahmed (27), Naraynpur Bagha Bazaar’s Baharul Islam (38), Ithkhola’s Suraj Mandal (24), Hatikuri’s Prakash Chauhan (25), Lathimara Katigorah’s Ainul Haque Kalifa (28), Kalain’s Furmot Ali (26).
Kalain’s Sahin Ali (19) and Jabir Hussain (20) both traveled from Hyderabad and was found carrying the infection. From Bihar, Ithkhola’s Avdhesh Mishra (52) had reached Silchar a couple of days back. He tested positive too.
A high number of COVID positive cases were reported in BSF’s Dholcherra camp. Some of them had a fever and therefore the doctors suggested COVID tests while in some cases few had a travel history. Edwin George (32), Sunil Singh (25), Taisraj Singh (27), Ram Niwaj (27), Chanda Kumer (27), Murlidhar Singh (29), Ramesh Kumar (28), Raju Ram Tanjani (27), Ashok Kumar (30) tested positive from the camp.
Kanakpur’s Sultan Ahmed Laskar (25) had Influenza-Like Illness and after testing his swab samples, SMCH confirmed that he has tested COVID positive.
Cachar administration continued its testing drive under Assam Targeted Surveillance Programme Assam and Bigyan Singh (48) tested COVID.
