35-year-old dies in Cachar while fixing dish to watch IPL match

At around 7:00 pm last night, the owner of Swapna Stores in Bagha Bazar, Rinku Sheel went on the roof of his store. The Indian Premier League match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad was scheduled at 7:30 pm and he had gone up to fix the dish to watch the match sitting at his store.

While trying to fix the dish appropriately on the roof, 35-year-old Rinku Sheel leaned on the wall which collapsed. He slipped and fell down two floors to the ground. Part of the damaged concrete wall followed and fell on top of his head.

He was immediately rushed to Dholai Primary Health Care center where the treating doctors declared him brought dead.

“Rinku Sheel was a cricket fan and himself played cricket regularly. His family members are in shock at this tragic death and so are the neighbours. The entire locality is mourning this untimely death,” said the proprietor of the nearby store.
