53 new COVID cases in Assam, 2 from Cachar, 7 from Dima Hasao 

Assam’s health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted on Saturday afternoon that 53 new COVID Positive cases have been confirmed in the state. He informed that 44 are from the Sarusajai Quarantine Centre, Guwahati, seven from Dima Hasao district and two are from Cachar.

Sarma’s tweet read, “Alert ~  Fifty three new #COVID19 + cases confirmed – 44 from Sarusajai Quarantine Centre, 7 from Dima Hasao district and 2 from Cachar.”

As per available information, the two patients from Cachar are 65-year-old female – Archana Nandi as resident of Tarapur area in Silchar and 7-year-old minor from Kashipur.
