CBCS first semester exams to begin from February 7

The Assam University today announced the timetable of CBCS First Semester Examinations in a notice signed by the Controller of Examinations. This may come as a relief to the students pursuing bachelor courses recognised by the University. The exams are scheduled to begin from 7th February, 2019 and end on 25th February, 2019.

A few days ago, the talk in the academic sphere was that the exams might get postponed from the earlier mentioned ‘tentative’ date 7th January, 2019 as autonomous council elections are scheduled to be held from 19th January, 2019 in NC Hills (Dima Hasao).

While the routine for other semesters was announced by the University many days ago, not publishing the timetable of the first semester gripped anxiety among the students thereby substantiating the fact of delay in conducting the exams.

For now, the students can prepare for their exams without furthering their fears anymore.
