Training on life skill activities for school students
Students of Netaji Vidyabhawan Girls High School Silchar, Adharchand Higher Secondary School and Government Girls High School are now much confident and focussed.
The one week training on Life Skills Education augmented by Nehru Yuva Kendra Silchar under the National Programme for Youth and Adolescent Development, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India has helped around 40 participants from these schools to learn the basic behavioural and attitudinal changes in facing the broader issues in life.
Cachar Deputy Commissioner Dr S Lakhshmanan congratulated the authorities of the school and NYKS for completing a major exercise successfully. ” Such kind of training helps to boost the confidence of the students who are in their formative stages,” he maintained while speaking at the closing ceremony on Wednesday. He gave away certificates to the participants, also interacted with the students and shared selfie moments as well.
Director of Rajiv Gandhi Open Institute Pinak Kanti Bhattacharjee lauded the efforts and urged the students to keep their hunger to learn more. The closing ceremony chaired by Debanjan Mukherjee, the headmaster of the school, Pinak Paul, president of the school governing body said that the school wishes to come up with similar events in the future. NYKS coordinator Saswati Deb briefly narrated on the training sessions.
