Cachar administration adds 1410 beds; NIT, Assam University, Don Bosco now COVID Care Centres
In pursuance of the Assam government directions, the Cachar district administration has notified 5 new COVID Care Centres in the district to further strengthen its preparedness to fight the COVID outbreak.
According to orders signed by deputy commissioner of Cachar, Kachudaram Model Hospital in Sonai with 180 beds capacity, Don Bosco School, Borkhola with 300-bed capacity, NIT Silchar with 300-bed capacity, Assam University Silchar with 500-bed capacity and Judhistair Saha HS School with 130-bed capacity have been declared as CCC (COVID care centres).
The order copy read, “above arrangement has been made with a view to cater to the emergency situation arises out of an increasing load of COVID positive cases being reported in the District.”
The order asked the appropriate departments to deploy HR and required medical instruments.
“The logistics supply in the CCC will be ensured by DDMA, Cachar. Necessary infrastructure gaps will be met by district administration as per need” the Cachar NHM order noted.
