Bharatiya Janata Party’s state executive committee meeting has been organised in Karimganj district. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, NEDA chief Himanta Biswa Sarma, Party’s state president Ranjeet Dass, Union Minister Rajen Gohain, and other senior party leaders are attending the event.

Today morning, the party workers in the Karimganj district woke up to see the posters of their leaders being torn or distorted. At the heart of the town, Himanta Biswa Sarma’s eyes in the posters were holed. Mud was thrown in the mouth of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s mouth, Ranjeet Dass’ posters were torn. Not one, not two but many posters in the stretch between Bramhan Barrier and Azad Sagar Road were destroyed.

It is such good news for Karimganj that a state executive committee meeting is being held in Karimganj and I think every party should support it as it is good for the district,” she said.

Adding, “Police must investigate the matter and nab those behind this heinous act. The chief minister of the state has been insulted and therefore it is a massive issue.”
