NEET PG Exam: Cachar DC takes cognizance of aspirants’ plight, arranges transportation

Responding to the appeals of aspirants for the NEET PG exam in Silchar, the District Disaster Management Authority has arranged two buses for them.

It was first reported by Barak Bulletin that around 200 aspirants of the NEET PG Examination are in disarray as they do not have a proper means of communication to reach the examination centre. Due to the floods, the road connecting to the centre in Sonai Road is inundated. The centre itself is partly submerged but since this is a nationwide examination, there is no way this can be postponed.

While it is true that the show must go on, what is essential is adequate resources. Taking cognizance of the situation, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, Keerthi Jalli took the initiative to discuss the matter in various level. She also had a conversation with IMA and eventually announced that the administration will assist with transportation.

It is worth noting here that NEET PG exam is scheduled for May 21, Saturday; the center is in Awalia Bazar, Sonai Road. Both the buses will be at the Rangirkhani Point and start the journey at 6:15 am. The buses are carrying the registration number AS-11-CC-8566 and AS-11-CC -2217 and the contact number of the pilots are 9638652061 and 8011930328, respectively, informed the administration.

This comes after the students had appealed to the administration to arrange for transportation to the partly inundated examination centre.
