
Cachar Police arrests 32-year-old for expressing interest to join ULFA on Facebook; “Cyber surveillance noted it and then we investigated,” SP
A 32-year-old youth expressed interest to join the ULFA on Facebook. This was the alert forwarded to the Cachar Police.
“The suspicious social media activity was noted by cyber surveillance and then we investigated the matter. Upon investigation, we found out that he was openly expressing interests to join the banned organisation. We further investigated the matter and based on the investigation we have arrested him,” informs Cachar SP, Dr. Ramandeep Kaur.
The arrested individual has been identified as Dilip Kumar Singh. Though his comment on the post is not recent, it was noted recently. The Cachar Police traced him at Dullabcherra in Karimganj District.
SP Ramandeep Kaur has confirmed that today, Cachar Police has arrested him from Dullabcherra and the matter will be investigated as per law.
