HS: Hailakandi Paramount School’s Jahangir Alom Choudhury secures 3rd position in Commerce Stream
As announced by the Chief Minister of Assam in the wee hours of June 6, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has declared the results of the Higher Secondary Examination.
What comes in as breaking news for the people of Barak Valley, Hailakandi’s Paramount School student, Jahangir Alom Choudhury scored 468 out of 500 to secure the 3rd position.
The pass percentage among students who appeared in Arts Stream has dropped from 83.48% to 70.12%. In the Science stream, the Pass percentage stood at 84.96% down from 92.19%. Similarly, in Commerce Stream, 79.57% managed to pass the examination while it was 87.27% last year.
Panchali Biswas of Karimganj, Shiksha Vikash Senior Secondary School scored state highest marks of 97% in MIL (Bengali). Nabin Chandra College’s, Dilwar Hussain Barbhuiya topped Urdu in the State.
With 93%, Ch. Surya Priya Lemjabi Chanu of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Sr. Sec School, Cachar, secured the highest marks in MIL Manipuri. Imran Hussain Barbuiya of MA Laskar Senior Secondary School, Cachar, scored highest in Persian in the state. Protima Sharma of Women’s College Silchar secured state highest marks in Advanced Manipuri – 88%. Daisy Sharma of Emmanuel English HS School scored highest in the state in Multimedia and Web-tech. Ramanuj Gupta Junior College’s Sanghamitra Dutta secured state highest marks in Kathak.
