EcoSport car crashes infront of Silchar Shivalik Park, 3 shops damaged alongwith electricity poles

An EcoSport car numbered AS 11Q 9300 on its way to Silchar from Silchar Medical College road lost control and rammed into an electric pole near Shivalik Park. Due to the collision, the electronic pole broke and fell into a shop damaging three shops. 

As per locals, after the accident, the wheel of the car got detached but the driver was not much injured and managed to save himself in one piece. On hearing bizarre sound of the accident, the locals rushed to the spot. The police were informed and the officials of Silchar Traffic Department and In-Charge of Silchar Rangirkhari Outpost rushed to the spot.

Later, the police recovered the vehicle and took it to the police station. Locals have demanded speedy restoration of electricity connection in the area and compensation to those who suffered as a result of the accident. The driver’s name was not known till the time of writing the report.
