Administrative meeting held between Assam and Mizoram officials regarding border dispute

An administrative meeting was held between the officials of Assam and Mizoram at Dholai Police Station in Cachar regarding the border dispute between the two states. The meeting was attended by Cachar DC Rohan Kumar Jha, Cachar SP Numal Mahatta and officials of Forest Department. From Mizoram’s side, Kolasib DC Jhon LT Sanga and Kolasib SP Lalrinawma Taite were present. This third meeting was a part of ongoing initiatives taken by Assam and Mizoram Government to maintain peace and stability between the two states.

Speaking to reporters Cachar DC Rohan Kumar Jha stated that the main objective of the meeting was to hold regular dialogues for maintaining peace and avoid miscommunication between both sides.

Kolasib DC Jhon LT Sanga thanked Cachar DC and SP for hosting them. He believed that conducting regular meetings will help in promoting peace and friendly relations between the two states.
