NF Railway to extend Silchar-Guwahati Express to Rangiya from September 4

In a significant development, the Northeast Frontier Railway has announced the extension of the tri-weekly Silchar-Guwahati and Guwahati-Silchar Express (Train No. 15612/15611) to include Rangiya station in its route. This decision is set to enhance the connectivity and convenience for passengers traveling between these key destinations in Assam.

Starting from September 4, 2023, the Rangiya-Silchar Express train (No. 15611) will operate on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Passengers can expect a seamless journey with scheduled stoppages at Rangiya, Changsari, Kamakhya, Guwahati and Silchar. It will depart from Rangiya at 3:45 pm and reach Silchar at 4:40 am in the morning.

The Silchar-Rangiya Express train (No. 15612) will commence its services on September 6, 2023, operating on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The scheduled stoppages in the route are Silchar, Guwahati, Kamakhya, Changsari and Rangiya. It will depart at 10:15 pm from Silchar and reach Rangiya at 10:30 am in the morning.

This extension will facilitate travel from Silchar to Rangiya and vice versa, providing commuters with more flexibility in their travel plans. The train will make stops along its route, ensuring accessibility to key stations.
