Creating history, Dibija Pal from Silchar emerged as the champion in the girl’s Under 11 Category in the national ranking table tennis competition held in Panchkula, Haryana. Representing Assam in the National Ranking Tournament, Dibija, hailing from the scenic region of Silchar , clinched victory in the final, marking her historic win in the national rankings.
Silchar now celebrates Dibija’s triumph as she secures the title in national-level competitions. The young champion has been consistently achieving historic successes in state-level tournaments, and her recent victory in the National Ranking Tournament solidifies her as the best paddler in the region.
In her journey to become the champion, Dibija outplayed top-notch players one after another, surpassing the expectations of table tennis enthusiasts in Silchar . While the dream was to excel in the final match of the National Ranking Tournament, Dibija not only played in the final but also claimed the prestigious title.
In the final match, Dibija defeated Delhi’s Shanaya Tyagi 3-0, demonstrating her exceptional skills and determination. Prior to this, in the quarterfinals, she defeated West Bengal’s Debangshi Chakraborty 3-1. Dibija’s semi-final victory included a 3-1 win against Titas Chakraborty from West Bengal in the women’s 11-category.
