SP Cachar Numal Mahatta visits residences of APSC achievers to congratulate them

SP Cachar, Numal Mahatta, visited the homes of Mausumi Barman and M. Bikramjit Khumanchal today. Both successfully cleared their APSC CCE exam, securing impressive ranks. SP Cachar felicitated them and, addressing the media, credited the accomplishment to CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Terming this a historic moment, SP Cachar stated that 21 individuals from Barak Valley cleared the APSC this year, attributing the success to the exam process reforms led by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.

M. Bikramjit Khumanchal secured the 42nd rank, while Mausumi Barman secured the 65th rank. SP Cachar conversed with both, expressing his pride in their achievements.

Although residing in Silchar currently, Mausumi Barman hails from Hawaithang near the Mizoram border, and M. Bikramjit Khumanchal is from Sonai’s Mangalpur.

Mausumi Barman, a working woman, considered this moment a dream come true in her second attempt. M. Bikramjit Khumanchal left his job to pursue his UPSC dream, successfully clearing the mains as well. He is at present waiting for his UPSC interview round and considers both APSC and UPSC good opportunities for him.

This time, as mentioned by SP Cachar, a total of 21 aspirants from Barak Valley secured positions, marking a historic moment. Many individuals from the Barak Valley had previously raised the issue of malpractice as a potential reason behind the hindrance to fulfilling their aspirations. SP Cachar’s statement on the reformation of the exam process might suggest efforts to eliminate the alleged malpractice, offering hope to aspiring candidates in the region.
