AIUDF Chief Maulana Badaruddin Ajmal’s Mic-Thrashing Incident Sparks Controversy In Barak Valley
Amidst fervent preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election, a startling incident unfolded yesterday, leaving many puzzled. Maulana Badaruddin Ajmal, the AIUDF Chief, displayed agitation during a public meeting as part of their campaign. He was seen forcefully slamming the microphone on the table before abruptly exiting the stage. Furthermore, as he descended, he was witnessed pushing his party’s Lok Sabha candidate for Karimganj.
On April 22, in Hailakandi, a party meeting was convened by the AIUDF, drawing the attendance of locals eager to hear from the AIUDF leader and their candidate. This gathering was a pivotal moment in their election campaign. However, it took an unexpected turn as Maulana Badaruddin Ajmal, the AIUDF Chief, became visibly agitated while criticizing the three MLAs of Hailakandi. Tensions escalated as he engaged in a heated exchange with his MP Candidate, Sahabul Islam Choudhury, on stage, culminating in him angrily thrashing the microphone on the table before departing the scene.
This sudden outburst occurred immediately after Maulana Badaruddin Ajmal had labeled the three MLAs of Hailakandi as ineffective during his speech. Footage captured the MP candidate attempting to take the microphone away from the AIUDF Chief, further fueling his anger, leading to the mic being forcefully thrown onto the table.
It is worth noting that this is not the first instance of Maulana Badaruddin Ajmal losing his composure and resorting to mic throwing. Previously, at Algapur, during a similar meeting, he was witnessed hurling the microphone towards the audience, followed by party members chanting slogans, attempting to divert attention from the incident. Media reports suggest that at Algapur, his actions were accompanied by certain party leaders speaking loudly during his speech.
These incidents have sparked numerous questions and raised eyebrows regarding the internal dynamics within the AIUDF. Following the recent incident, Maulana Badaruddin Ajmal left the venue without addressing any media inquiries. As the Chief of the party, his behavior at party meetings preceding the elections has cast a veil of mystery and confusion over the proceedings.
