It’s not uncommon for train services to face disruptions during the onset of monsoon seasons, recently due to necessary track repairs trains were disrupted in the region. The recent cancellations caused by Cyclone Remal significantly impacted travel plans across the region.
Fortunately, the restoration of these previously cancelled trains would bring relief to many passengers. Cyclone Remal, originating from the Bay of Bengal, is somewhat affecting Assam, including the Barak Valley, and several other parts of India. Reports of casualties have been noted in some severely affected areas of the nation.
As of now, Barak Valley and Assam have not experienced the full intensity of Cyclone Remal. The current situation remains relatively safe, with authorities closely monitoring further developments.
