Silchar: Tragic Rail Accident in Tarapur, Train runs over youth

A tragic incident occurred near Silchar Railway Station, Tarapur on this noon, resulting in the death of a young man. The accident happened when the young man was walking along the railway tracks ( Railway Gate No 1) just below the over bridge and was struck by the Silchar Mahishasan train.

Eyewitnesses immediately reported the incident to the railway police. Upon receiving the information, the railway police promptly arrived at the scene and recovered the body. The deceased was then sent to Silchar Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

As of the time of reporting, the identity of the deceased remains unknown. Further investigations are underway to ascertain more details about the victim and the circumstances leading to this tragic event that occured this Saturday.
