Assam University Postpones Examinations Due to Flooding
In light of the increasing river levels and subsequent flooding across multiple districts within the academic jurisdiction of Assam University, the institution has announced a postponement of the pre-scheduled examinations for undergraduate courses (FYUG).
This decision, affecting exams initially slated for July 5 and 6, 2024, was made to ensure the safety and convenience of students, faculty, and non-teaching staff who have faced disruptions in their movement due to the adverse weather conditions.
The notification, issued by Dr Suprabir Dutta Roy, Controller of Examinations, and approved by the Vice-Chancellor of Assam University, states that the new dates for the postponed examinations will be communicated in due course.
This measure comes as a response to the difficulties posed by the floods, aiming to provide relief and ensure that the academic activities can resume under safer and more stable conditions.
