Shocking : Four Killed in Accident at Katakhal Bypass

A horrific road accident took place at Katakhal Bypass in Hailakandi district today, leaving four people dead. The accident occurred when an Alto car and an Eon vehicle collided head-on.

The victims have been identified as Brajagopal Das (60), his wife Gopa Das (55), Romendra Narayan Das (54), and the driver of the vehicle, Ajit Debnath. All the deceased were residents of the Dharmanagar Colony in Badarpur.

All four individuals who died in the crash were passengers in the Eon car. The impact was so severe that the victims died on the spot.

Three passengers travelling in the Alto car were seriously injured. They were immediately rescued and transported to Silchar Medical College for urgent medical attention.

Eye witnesses at the scene said that the vehicles collided head-on, leading to the instant deaths of the four individuals. The cause of the collision is still under investigation. Authorities have cordoned off the area, and further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
