15-Day Mega Block on Lumding-Badarpur Hill Route to Impact Train Services

A major five-hour mega block has been initiated by the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) from 14 to 30 November 2024 to replace sleepers on the Dihakho-Mupa section of the Lumding-Badarpur Hill route under the Lumding division. This essential work aims to enhance safety for train operations in the region.

Several trains involving Silchar are affected during this period. These include the Guwahati-Silchar Express (15615), Silchar-Kolkata Special (05639), Kolkata-Silchar Special (05640), Coimbatore-Silchar Express (12515), and Thiruvananthapuram-Silchar Express (12507). Below is the full list of all cancellations, rescheduling, and regulations as announced by the NFR.

Cancellation of Train Services:

1. Train no. 15617 (Guwahati-Dullabcherra) Express commencing journey on 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, and 27 November 2024 will remain cancelled.

2. Train no. 15888/15887 (Guwahati-Badarpur-Guwahati) Express commencing journey on 16, 20, 23, 27, and 30 November 2024 will remain cancelled.

3. Train no. 15618 (Dullabcherra-Guwahati) Express commencing journey on 17, 19, 21, 24, 26, and 28 November 2024 will remain cancelled.

4. Train no. 05698 (Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri) Special commencing journey on 19, 21, 26, and 28 November 2024 will remain cancelled.

5. Train no. 05697 (New Jalpaiguri-Guwahati) Special commencing journey on 20, 22, 27, and 29 November 2024 will remain cancelled.

6. Train no. 05639 (Silchar-Kolkata) Special commencing journey on 21 and 28 November 2024 will remain cancelled.

7. Train no. 05640 (Kolkata-Silchar) Special commencing journey on 15, 22, and 29 November 2024 will remain cancelled.

8. Train no. 15615 (Guwahati-Silchar) Express commencing journey on 15 November 2024 will remain cancelled.

Rescheduling of Trains:

1. Train no. 12504 (Agartala-SMVT Bengaluru) Express commencing journey on 16, 19, 23, 26, and 30 November 2024 has been rescheduled to start at 07:00 hours instead of 05:30 hours.

2. Train no. 12515 (Coimbatore-Silchar) Express commencing journey on 17 and 24 November 2024 has been rescheduled to start at 03:00 hours on 18 and 25 November 2024 instead of 22:00 hours.

3. Train no. 12507 (Thiruvananthapuram-Silchar) Express commencing journey on 19 and 26 November 2024 has been rescheduled to start at 21:55 hours instead of 16:55 hours.

Regulation of Trains:

1. Train no. 12507 (Thiruvananthapuram-Silchar) Express commencing journey on 12 November 2024.

2. Train no. 14038 (New Delhi-Silchar) Express commencing journey on 14, 21, and 28 November 2024.

3. Train no. 14620 (Firozpur Cantt-Agartala) Express commencing journey on 18 and 25 November 2024 will be regulated suitably en route.
