A devastating fire broke out at Bhubandahar Market in Dholai, Cachar district, early Monday morning (December 15), completely gutting three commercial establishments and causing losses estimated to be over Rs. 1 crore.

According to local sources, the fire started at around 6 am and rapidly spread to nearby shops. The blaze affected businesses owned by Balaram Barma, Dalim Das and Anup Acharjee.
