Fake Doctor Kamrul Islam Mazumder Arrested In Silchar For Practising Without MBBS Degree in Silchar

Cachar Police on Tuesday (January 6) arrested Kamrul Islam Mazumder, a resident of Kathal Point area near 2nd Link Road, for allegedly posing as an MBBS doctor without possessing any valid medical qualifications or documents.

According to police sources, the case was registered last year been registered under Silchar Police Station Case No. 1110/25.

The accused was allegedly found practising as a doctor and presenting himself as an MBBS professional despite having no recognised degree or papers to support his claim.

Police said further investigation is underway to ascertain how long he had been practising and whether patients were affected.
