
Borkhola: 13-Year-Old Boy Killed in Road Accident at Harinchhara, Tension Grips Area
A 13-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a speeding Bolero vehicle at Harinchhara in Borkhola area of Cachar district on Monday evening, triggering protests and tension in the locality.
The deceased has been identified as Nasim Uddin Barbhuiya (13). According to local sources, the accident occurred when a white Bolero travelling from the Borkhola side allegedly lost control and struck the boy, who was standing beside the road. The impact reportedly dragged the child under the vehicle, causing fatal injuries. He died on the spot.
Witnesses alleged that the driver fled the scene immediately after the accident without stopping to assist the victim.
The incident sparked anger among local residents, who gathered at the accident site and staged a road blockade in protest. Vehicular movement in the area was affected as people demanded action against the driver responsible for the accident.
