Dog Lover Dwaipayan Found Dead in Sribhumi, Emotional WhatsApp Status Surfaces
A young man from Sribhumi town was found dead after allegedly consuming poison, with family members and friends believing he had been deeply distressed following the loss of his two pet dogs.
The deceased has been identified as Dwaipayan Sen, a resident of Neelmoni Road in Sribhumi. Before his death, he posted a WhatsApp status at around 3.45 am stating, “None is responsible for my death. Will meet my Marley Caesar now.”
According to those close to him, Marley and Caesar were his beloved pet dogs. The animals had fallen seriously ill some time ago, and Dwaipayan had taken them to Guwahati for treatment in an effort to save them. Despite repeated attempts, both dogs died, leaving him heartbroken.
Friends described Dwaipayan as a compassionate person who was deeply committed to the welfare of animals, especially dogs. One of his close friends said Dwaipayan was always ready to help whenever a pet needed medical attention. He would travel long distances, including to Guwahati, for treatment and was often the first person friends contacted for advice or assistance regarding their pets.
“He was one of the best human beings I have known. His love and care were not limited to his own dogs. He helped everyone who needed support for their pets. It is impossible for me to imagine that he would take such a step,” the friend said.
Grief affects different people in different ways, and there is no single or “right” way to cope with loss. However, taking one’s own life is never the solution. Anyone experiencing overwhelming emotional pain or thoughts of harming themselves should seek support from trusted family members, friends, or a mental health professional. In India, free professional counselling is available through services such as Tele MANAS. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength, and a kind conversation or timely support can make a meaningful difference. Let us all be aware, compassionate, and supportive of one another.
