Silchar Municipal Polls: Postal Ballot Voting Today from 9:30 AM to 5 PM

Postal ballot voting for electors who applied through Application Form-20 within the stipulated time for the Silchar Municipal Corporation Election 2026 will be held on Saturday, 26 September.

According to an official communication issued by the District Election Officer, Cachar, the postal ballot voting will take place at Govt. Girls’ H.S. & M.P. School, Silchar.

The voting process will begin at 9:30 am and continue until 5 pm.

The information was conveyed through a letter issued by the Ballot Paper Cell and Postal Ballot Paper Cell of the Silchar Municipal Corporation Election 2026. The letter, dated 23 September, was addressed to the Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations, Barak Valley Region, Silchar.

The District Election Officer’s office has requested the Information and Public Relations department to ensure wide publicity of the schedule through available electronic and print media so that the information reaches the concerned electors.

The postal ballot facility is specifically for those electors who had applied through Application Form-20 within the prescribed time.
