ACA Selects Silchar’s Hritwik Dhar Captain for BCCI Vijay Merchant Trophy

In a proud moment for Silchar, young cricketer Hritwik Dhar has been named the captain of the Assam Under-16 cricket team for the upcoming BCCI Vijay Merchant Trophy 2024-25. The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) announced the squad, which will compete in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, starting December 6, 2024.

Hritwik, a resident of Aryapatty and the son of Raja Dhar, secured the captaincy in his very first trial camp. His remarkable talent and leadership skills have earned him this prestigious role. As the team’s skipper, Hritwik will lead a squad of 15 promising players, including Zayan Yasin Ahmed, Sujad Islam, and Sharvin Das.

This achievement marks a significant milestone not only for Hritwik but also for Silchar, which continues to produce exceptional cricketing talent.
