All India Radio teams up with SEBA to broadcast lectures; To start with Mathematics tomorrow

The nation is under complete lockdown and the residents are living in uncertain times. Challenges are everywhere and innovation is the only way out. The All India Radio, Silchar has decided to join hands with the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) to take lectures to the residents as they are not able to travel to a classroom.

Starting April 27, 2020, teachers will deliver lectures through the airwaves. All India Radio, Silchar will broadcast the lectures from 12:30 PM onwards. The AIR Silchar informed that the students can call in with questions from 1:00 PM onwards and the teacher will address the questions. The students can dial 03842262779 to ask questions.

The AIR also informed that they will start with the curriculum of Class IX and Class X from April 27, 2020. The lectures will be broadcast on AM 828 Khz. The same will be streamed live on ‘NewsOnAir’ app which is available for download on google play store and iOS app store.

Monday, the teacher will teach Class IX’s Mathematics subject. It remains to be seen if the students tune in to radio for academics. It will be a task for the teacher too to solve problems without a blackboard.
