Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s two-day visit to Barak Valley packed with inaugurations and ceremonies, Schedule revealed by Secretary
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to embark on a two-day visit to Barak Valley, commencing tomorrow. The Principal Private Secretary to the Chief Minister, ACS Prasanta Protim Kathkotia, has unveiled the meticulous itinerary for this eventful journey.
The action-packed schedule on September 7, 2023, will see CM Sarma commencing his day by leaving his residence at the capital complex in Dispur at the crack of dawn, precisely at 6:10 am. A quick flight from Guwahati Airport will transport him to Silchar, where the day’s events will kick off with a brief stay at the Circuit House and then subsequent visits to the Badripar Bridge site, followed by an inauguration ceremony. The CM will then proceed to the Dungirpar Bridge site, the Integrated DC’s Office site at Bhorakhai, and the Convention Centre in Silcoorie, with each location featuring a foundation stone-laying ceremony.
The itinerary continues with stops at the Itkholaghat Bridge site, DC Office in Silchar and the DSA Ground, Silchar for various events and public meetings. The CM will then visit Hailakandi district after a brief stay at the Circuit House, Silchar and attend a statue inauguration programme of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee near SS College and lay the foundation stone of Assam MALA as well. After attending a public meeting at DSA Ground, Hailakandi he will make a return to Cachar district and stay at Kumbhir Tea Estate for the night wrapping up the day’s engagements.
On September 8, 2023, the CM will start early with a departure from Kumbhir Tea Estate, Cachar at 6:50 am making his way back to Silchar Airport. A flight will then carry him back to Guwahati, where he will journey to his residence in Dispur by road and arrive at 9:05 am marking the end of his visit.
