“Beat up camera person whenever you spot them,” Badaruddin Ajmal’s clarion call in Barak Valley Sparks Outrage
In a recent meeting held in Banskandi, Silchar, All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) supremo and Member of Parliament, Badaruddin Ajmal, stirred controversy by urging his followers to physically confront camerapersons and assuring assistance in handling potential police cases.
A video capturing Ajmal’s inflammatory remarks has surfaced, where he is heard saying, “Jeno je cameraala dekho dhoria pito. Police case oile amra shamlaimu,” which translates to “Beat up camerapersons wherever you see them. We will manage the police cases.”
This is not the first time Ajmal has made headlines for provocative statements. As India approaches the General Elections to the Lok Sabha, Ajmal appears to be on a mission to consolidate Muslim votes, further contributing to the polarized political atmosphere.

Ajmal’s presence at an event in Darul Uloom Madrassa added fuel to the controversy. Renowned motivational speaker Munawar Zama, the key speaker at the event, drew attention for his seemingly politically charged speech, deviating from his usual motivational content. Zama’s speech, which lacked the anticipated inspiration, was described by an attendee as a blatant campaign for Ajmal, with repeated praises for the political figure.
The incident has sparked outrage, with critics condemning Ajmal’s call for violence and accusing him of using religious platforms for political gains. As the video circulates on social media, calls for accountability and condemnation from various quarters are growing.
