Bike accident in Digorkhal: Kalain College student succumbs to injuries at SMCH
A tragic road accident that happened Friday in Digarkhal’s Shibnagar has injured two college students. The students who were on their way to the college crashed into a parked ten-wheeler dumper truck. Both of them were severely injured in the accident and realising the seriousness of the impact, they were referred to Silchar Medical College from Kalain PHC. While undergoing treatment at the medical college, one of them succumbed to the injuries and was declared dead this afternoon.
Yesterday, while Sahid Hussain Mazumder and Minnatullah Rahmani were heading towards their college in Kalain, their bike collided with a dumper truck parked on the side of NH 6. This accident happened at Digarkhal’s Shibnagar. Both of the severely injured students were promptly rushed to the Kalain Primary Health Centre. Examining their critical condition, Mazumder and Rahmani, both Levarputa residents, were referred to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
A tragic road accident claimed the life of Sahid Hasan Mojumdar, a student of Kalain SR College, in Digarkhal, Shibnagar. The incident occurred on Friday when Sahid and his companion, Minnatullah Rahmani, residents of Leverputa village, were riding motorcycles.
Tragically, Sahid succumbed to his injuries today. Minnatullah Rahmani is still undergoing treatment being critically injured. The news of his untimely demise highlights the pressing need for road safety measures like wearing helmets, and maintaining speed limits to prevent such tragedies in the future.
