In a significant blow to drug trafficking in the state, Cachar Police conducted a successful special operation against narcotics last night, led by Sadar Police Station OC Amrit Singh. During the operation, three individuals identified as Azizur Rahman, Barakchow Miya, and Haiyaz Uddin were apprehended in Kasipur, under the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station. The trio was found in possession of 50,000 Yaba tablets, with an estimated market value exceeding 10 crore rupees.

The seized contraband was traced back to its origin, and preliminary investigations revealed that it had been smuggled into Cachar from a neighboring state. As the operation continues, law enforcement authorities are actively pursuing other individuals involved in this illicit drug smuggling.
