City Health Care, Silchar Celebrates 25 Years of Healing Service: Unveils New Logo, Website

City Health Care, a trusted name in medical services in Silchar, is all set to complete 25 years of dedicated healthcare in November. To commemorate its silver jubilee, the centre has launched a new logo and an official website — www.cityhealthcare.in — aimed at making appointments and test bookings more convenient for patients across the Barak Valley.

City Health Care was established in November 2001 by Dr S.K. Nandi Purkayasta, a renowned orthopaedic surgeon and former Principal of Silchar Medical College and Hospital. Over the years, the centre has treated more than five lakh patients, earning a reputation for accessible and quality care.

To mark the occasion, a special event was held on June 30 at the centre’s premises on Trunk Road, near Cachar College, Silchar. The celebration was graced by several notable guests, including Dr Abhijeet Chatterjee, MD (Medicine); Taimur Raja Chaudhary, Owner & Editor of Samayik Prasanga; and Arijit Aditya, Editor-in-Chief of Bartalipi.

Speaking on the occasion, Deepan Dewanji, one of the founders of City Health Care, said, “During these 25 years of service, people from this valley and neighbouring states have received our care. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, our doctors performed their duties selflessly. To make our services even more accessible, we’ve launched this website, where patients can now book appointments and request doorstep sample collections.”
