CM Himanta Biswa Sarma reaches Silchar, holds meeting at Koomber Tea Estate
Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma reached Silchar today morning and instead of taking a left from the airport towards Silchar, his convoy took a right turn towards Koomber Tea Estate. This visit to Koomber Tea Estate was not a part of the itinerary shared by the district administration.
In Koomber, the chief minister stopped at the manager’s Bungalow. There he held several meetings. First he met the deputy commissioner of Cachar Keerthi Jalli and Superintendent of Police, Ramandeep Kaur. Then he was joined by Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy, Minister of Forest and Environment, Government of Assam, Parimal Suklabaidya. MLA of Naharkatia, Taranga Gogoi has accompanied Sarma in his visit to Silchar.
Later in the day, the chief minister of Assam will visit Lakhipur to lay the foundation stone of Saheed Nandachand Bridge. He will be accompanied by Lakhipur MLA Kaushik Rai.
Chief Minister Sarma is also likely to visit RSS Karyalaya and meet the RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat. As per the itinerary shared by the Cachar District Administration, he will return to Guwahati later today.
