Daily Wager from Borkhola Dies in Maharashtra Due to Electrocution

The tragic death of a daily wager from Cachar who had left home seeking work has cast a pall of sadness over his ancestral village in Katigorah. As the sole breadwinner for his family, it remains uncertain whether his body will be brought back to his home in Borkhola.

A youth from Cachar, Abjal Hussain, tragically died yesterday after being electrocuted while working at a company in Maharashtra. Abjal, a resident of the West Bhangarpar village of Bokhola in Cachar, had moved to Maharashtra a few months ago in search of work. He had been employed there as a daily wage labourer in a factory.

The incident occurred on January 7 when Abjal was electrocuted during his work, leading to his death on the spot.

The news of his death has left his family in Bhangarpar devastated. Abjal was the sole breadwinner of his impoverished family, and his loss has plunged them into despair.

Given the family’s financial condition and lack of assistance, they are struggling to bring the deceased’s body home for the Janaza.
