Debojit Saha Fan Club along with We Tree Foundation donates ration to 200 families in Palonghat

“It is the time to stand for each other, it is the time to put humanity over everything else.” This is what Debojit Saha had said when he was live from MySilchar Facebook page recently. Walking the talk, singer Debojit Saha has put forward his helping hand for those in need.

On Sunday, Debojit Saha Fan’s Club along with We Tree Foundation donated ration to around 200 families in Palanghat area. Debojit is currently in Mumbai, so he could be there in person but his family members along with other team members conducted the donation drive.

To ensure proper social distancing, 200 separate packets were made by the members of the Fan Club and those were handed over to the representatives of the families individually. “In each packet, there were rice, dal, potato, soyabean, cooking oil and salt,” informed Debojit Saha.

His elder brother who is handling the drive said they have started with Palanghat as it is the birth place of Debojit. “Going forward we have plans of doing similar donation drives in other parts of the district too,” his brother Debashish Saha added.

It is worth mentioning here that the Prime Minister had called for “Karuna” to poor drive during his speech. Narendra Modi had urged each and every privileged citizen to take care of nine families. The country is under a lockdown and there is no way daily wagers can win their bread in these circumstances. The Prime Minister had said that Karuna to Poor will be India’s answer to Corona.
