Dholai to Delhi journey is confirmed, has the door to Modi Cabinet opened too for Parimal Suklabaidya?
Historic win for Parimal Suklabaidya in an election where every seat matters for the BJP like never before in the last ten years. This is also the election where the BJP faced a heavy defeat in Maharashtra – the land of ‘Savarkar’, West Bengal – the land of ‘Shyamaprasad’ and Uttar Pradesh, the land of ‘Ram Lalla’. In fact, BJP faced a setback in Faizabad where Ayodhya is located.
This mandate indicates that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah’s redefined ‘Hindutva’ agenda and abandoning the ‘Vajpayian – Advani’ philosophy, might need a tweak.
In such a scenario, when Narendra Modi sits with Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar to talk about the formation of the government at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, he can’t claim to be the “Reincarnation of God”. Instead, he will have to ask and not just tell as he is so accustomed to. The Gujarat belt might have to take the back seat and the Nagpur belt might have a larger share of say.
Amidst all the mights, there is this Vajpayian BJP veteran, who has emerged victorious with a record margin from Silchar. He did not claim to be “Paramatma’s Doot”, he did not go door to door campaigning on ‘Suklabaidya ki Guarantee’ and in fact, his victory, however less celebrated at the district party headquarters in Itkhola, opened a new door for the people of Silchar.
