Election 2019 : Presiding officers training starts at Silchar

In order to equip the Presiding Officers with the voting machines to be used for the ensuing Lok Sabha election 2019, training of the offcials is underway.

The training is being given to the officials at two centres namely Narsing HS School and Cachar High School. The training was given in two sessions today and will be held on March 19, 20 and 23. In each room there are 40 presiding officer designate receiving training from the experts and overall around 400 persons are being imparted training in each session.

The polling officials are given special guidance on dealing with the EVMs, VVPAT machines and sealing procedures after the poll process so that the voting on April 18 could be done in hasle free manner.

Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri visited the centres and inquired about the training proceedings and also addressed relevant issues for smooth conduct of the sessions.
