Ex-president of Silchar Press Club Sanat Koiri admitted at Valley Hospital

Barak Valley Small and Medium Newspaper Association’s president Sanat Kumar Koiri was admitted at Valley Hospital and Research Centre in Silchar on Monday after he complained of uneasiness.

Koiri, former president of Silchar Press Club, is associated with many organisations and a renowned personality in Silchar.

Sources said Koiri’s health deteriorated suddenly on Monday evening following which he was rushed to Valley Hospital and admitted there. He has been suffering from blood pressure-related problems, sources said.

The news of Koiri being admitted at the hospital made the rounds across social media platforms with many people sharing information about the incident and praying for his speedy recovery.

Puja Koiri, daughter of Sanat Koiri, told  Barak Bulletin  on Tuesday morning that her father’s condition was okay and he would be discharged from the hospital on Wednesday.
