Fatal accident at Mahasadak, car skids off 30 metre away from the highway, AUS law student dies on the spot
A Tata Nexon car lost its control while on the Mahasadak on the East-West corridor and fell 30 metres off the highway into a low-lying land. The speeding blue vehicle fell off in a topsy-turvy manner and damaged the car severely. The driver of the car Abhishek Deb died on the spot. According to the available information Deb was travelling from Silchar to Dolu. The incident happened this evening in the Udharbond area of Cachar. The locals sent the body to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital where he was declared dead.
The registration number of the vehicle is AS11R8618. There was only one individual inside the car who was driving. He has been identified as Abhishek Deb, a student of the Department of Law, Assam University.
Abhishek, a resident of CR Avenue, National Highway Road, was just 24 years old. With the impact of the accident, the car fell off into the low-lying area off the highway in an upside-down position. The locals there were very shocked to see this and rushed there to help. With much difficulty, the wounded was pulled out of the car and according to locals, minutes later he breathed his last.
Later in the presence of the Udharbond Police, the locals rushed the body to SMCH, where he was declared dead. This shocking incident has saddened the whole town including the Assam University fraternity. His car was later towed out of the area with the help of a recovery truck.
