FIR against Badaruddin Ajmal in Silchar for “Kamalakhya Lukai Lukai Gorur Mangsho Khai,” comment

Ranajit Debnath, vice president of Cachar District Youth Congress along with other members of Youth Congress went to the Silchar Sadar Police Station and lodged an FIR against MP and AIUDF Supremo Badaruddin Ajmal.

The FIR states, “With due respect I would like to inform that, my leader Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha, MLA, LA-3 in North Karimganj Constituency, Assam is a public servant and has a good will as well as good service towards his people.”

It adds that on July 7, News Live and various other News Channels Broadcasted one statement of AIUDF Supremo as well as Member of Parliament Badaruddin Ajma wherein he openly stated that our Ieader Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha eats beef his statement was like, “Kamalakhya lukai lukai gorur mangsho khai niki ethu moi najanu. tenekor voter Musalman bohut aase phone kore koi Eid or din je eithu pathaisi.”

The statement translates to. “Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha eats beef secretly or not is something I don’t know but he has a lot of Muslim voters and he calls them on the day of Eid and say that he has sent that thing.”

In the FIR it is mentioned, “The statement was in Assamese Language which can easily be interpreted by any person and the meaning is very simple that our leader eats beef. The statement has harmed the reputation and image of our leader. The statement of hate speech is hideous, awful and defamatory. Apart from Politics our leader is by faith HINDU and such statement not only wounded him personally but also to our entire Hindu Community. Various people making various comments on Social Media and with deliberate and malicious intentions of outraging the Religious feelings, the accused insulted our leader and our religion and is likely to incite a communal riot for his personal and political benefits.”
