Fire near Karimganj Railway Station, no casualties reported
A fire broke out approximately at around 2:45 am in the morning on Sept 5 near a petrol pump at the Karimganj Railway Station area. The fire brigade was informed immediately and reached the location within no time.
G Sharma from the Fire Brigade informs us that, “it was a bamboo and tin induced fire and didn’t take a lot of time to be extinguished.” They had cleared the fire off entirely by 4:30 am in the morning with the help of 4 fire engines.
“One man suffered a little injury in the hand while fleeing away and another student lost all his documents to the fire”, informs Sharma. He also told us that there were some cows and a dog in the premises and the animals were successful in running away and saving their lives.
