Four candidates to contest Ratabari Bye Elections

Four candidates submitted their nominations for the Ratabari bye election and all of them has been found valid, the returning officer for Ratabari, Ruth Lienthang informed on Tuesday.

Four candidates who filed nomination for the upcoming by-election, scheduled on 21st October, are-

1. INC’s Keshab Prasad Rajak
2. BJP’s Bijoy Malakar
3. SUCI(Communist)’s Birendra Rabidas
4. Independent Parikshit Roy

Thursday will be the last date for withdrawal of nomination by the candidates.

Ratabari LAC got vacated on this May, after the legislator Kripanath Mallah won the MP election from Karimganj seat under BJP’s ticket. Ratabari will go for bye poll on 21st October along with 64 other state legislative assemblies of various states.
