From admission application to migration certificate, Assam University launches portal with an aim to digitise

Assam University, Silchar has announced today the official automation of their admission system which aims to computerize the entire student life cycle starting from admission to migration under one portal. This means that students from any course be it undergraduate or postgraduate, or from any college can directly apply for admission or examination through one single portal. In this connection, the university has already received ISO certification in examination, library and administration.

Through this unified online portal, one student can apply for multiple colleges, multiples courses at a time. Once he or she is taking admission in one college or course, automatically other applications will be nullified. Thus, there is no scope for multiple admissions in multiple courses by a student. This will be very useful for particularly affiliated colleges in respect of their vacancy of the seat. Also, since all the payments will be in online mode, the collection of fees and management of fees will be easier. The administration can also find the number of applicants and number of students admitted as and when required.

Different types of reports can be generated as per requirement by the different stakeholders. College can also find their reports for DHE, UGC etc. The demand of subjects also can be studied and accordingly plan can be formed. Once the student admitted to the course, he/she need not fill up forms for other purposes such as registration, enrollment for examinations etc. they have to only deposit their fees for registration, enrollment of examination and other fees.

The University is planning to conduct an online admission test for the departments and professional courses from this year. College/ Departments will be the admins of their sites. The objective of this software is to bring all the stakeholders under a single umbrella. If anybody wishes to conduct the internal test in the evening/ night that can also be arranged. Keeping in view the Covid situation for more than a year, and the demand of the present time, the university is planning to have its own examination portal with all the required modern facilities. The University seeks cooperation from all the stakeholders for the functioning of the portal.

Also, Assam University, Silchar has announced that it is open to application from eligible candidates for their upcoming academic session of 2021-22. Interested students can apply online at their current admission portal https://ausexamination.ac.in/admission/. The last date of online submission is June 30, 5 pm after which they’ll close their admission portal.
